![]() Performances of the robot prototype with the water level control system were examined through laboratory scale experiments. On – Off and proportional – integral (PI) controllers used to control DC motors of the three mechanisms, and the water level control system, respectively. The water level control system used a water pump to pump water out of pond when the level of water exceeds the maximum level limit, and an ultrasonic sensor to measure the level of water in pond. The three mechanisms used three DC motors as actuator, respectively. The system used in this paper consists of a feed storage tank, a feed distribution mechanism, a feed ejection mechanism, an ejector position turning mechanism, a water level control system, a base and a solar panel system for energy sources. The hopper attached to the feeder is equipped with a lid, preventing moisture from entering the feed. The purpose of this study is to develop a fish feeding robot prototype that equipped with a water level control system for pond use and to propose an effective control scheme for the robot prototype and the water level control system. These feeders have hoppers of 10 to 70 kgs., and are able to feed particles from 1,0 to 9,0 mm. Pendulum feeders are only suitable for larger fish fry and fingerlings are simply too small to move the pendulum. With proper adjustment of the pendulum, this allow the fish to feed themselves! Fish in the tank quickly learn that touching the stick results in feed falling in the tank. The feeder is placed above the tank and the pendulum is adjusted to just touch the water surface. In these feeders the hopper is equipped with a pendulum mechanism. Pendulum feeders are very simple, but effective feeders. These feeders have hoppers of 50 to 200 kgs, and are able to feed particles from 1,0 to 9,0 mm. This is very suitable for large grow out tanks and ponds. A special line of automatic feeders is equipped with feed sprayers, dispersing the feed over a large area. The feeder with 5 kg hopper is designed for use in hatcheries, while the feeders with a capacity of 10 to 70 kgs are suitable for nurseries and grow out. The hopper attached to the feeder is equipped with a lid, preventing moisture from entering the feed. These feeders are operated through an individual timer, that can be adjusted for the start and end of feeding during each day, the required number of feedings per day, the total time of feeding per day and even the percentage increase per day. ![]() Optionally Aquaculture ID can design and supply the perfect support for these feeders to fit to your tanks.Īquaculture ID supplies a full range of automatic feeders with hopper for hatchery use, but also for grow out. As an alternative the feeders can be attached to an electrical timer switch. ![]() To the Aquaculture ID disc feeder control unit up to 20 feeders can be attached. Ideally the disc feeders are attached to a control unit, allowing individual adjustment of each feeder. The Disc Feeders are easy to clean and need to be cleaned every morning before administering the feed for the next day. On a daily basis the ration for a tank for that day is dispersed over the disc feeder plate, allowing the feed to be fed to the fish at fixed intervals or continuously during that day. For feeding fry feeds smaller than 1,0 mm, Aquaculture ID Disc Feeders are ideal.
